Our Doctrine

Ministry Purpose:

To proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, encourage and assist people in their Spiritual and Ethical living; to  administer the Rites and Sacraments recognized by the ministry; to provide Educational and Social activities for it’s members and for the public; to consider and address the Social and Civil issues before the City, State, and Nation; to receive and disburse money, and to aquire, hold, develop, and sell property as means of fostering its other purposes, and to do all other things deemed necessary and appropriate to the fullness of the life and Ministry of this Church.

Doctrine

The faith of this Ministry is in Jesus Christ as revealed in the scriptures of Old and New Testament, as proclaimed in the historic Creeds of Christiandom, The Apostles Creed, and the Nicene Creed, and as expressed in the Christian experience.  Walk in His light ministries strives to serve the Spiritual needs of all people calling them to a New Life through the Gospel of Jesus Christ; confronting injustice through Christian social action, creating a community of Healing and Reconciliation through Faith, Hope, and Love.

Sacraments, and Rites

This ministry embraces baptism by water and the Holy Spirit and Holy communion as Holy Sacraments.  The rites of the Church consist of the Rite of ordination ; the Rites of Holy Union and Matrimony; The rite of Funeral or Memorial Service; The Laying on of Hands; The Rites of Blessing.  Sacraments and Rites are to be conducted and performed by duly authorized Ministers of this ministry
